Jean Yang is a multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Baltimore, Maryland. She is from Dutch Harbor and Wasilla, Alaska and has spent some years in the midwest.
Jean uses fragmented imagery, traditional and digital media, weaving, making objects and installation as a way to explore nostalgia for the vast waters, glaciers and rural remnants of the Northwest landscape she used to know.
Jean received her B.F.A. from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2012 and M.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2015.
